PFDC - Iranian international striker Reza Ghoochannejhad signed a two-year deal with Dutch Eredivisie club SC Heerenveen.

The 28-year-old just ended an unsuccessful spell with Charlton Athletic, and was a free agent after the London-based club was relegated from the English championship.

Ghoochannejhad, who already spent some years in Heerenveen’s youth team, was especially influential in Iran’s 2014 World Cup and qualifying campaign, but meanwhile lost his Team Melli fixed spot to youngster Sardar Azmoun.
