PTV - Esteghlal Tehran bounced back from last week's heavy defeat in Tehran's derby against Persepolis, by posting a 3-nil home win over Foolad Khouzestan, to maintain their pursuit of league leaders Persepolis.

Parviz Mazloumi's men opened the scoring as early as the 8th minute through Omid Ebrahimi. It only took 5 minutes for the home crowd to cheer the blues for another goal when Behnam Barzay hit a well-taken header.

There was still 9 minutes on the clock when Jaber Ansari nutmegged Foolad's keeper to wrap up a convincing 3-nil win for Esteghlal Tehran, who climbed to 2nd in the standings following the win.
