AFC - The AFC would like to wish the Asian football family a very happy and joyous Norooz, as well as a festive Sizdah Be-dar, which falls on April 1.

Sizdah Be-dar, an Iranian festival celebrated on the 13th day of Farvardin, which is the first month of Norooz or Persian New Year, is a time for celebrations, happiness and togetherness.

Norooz is a holiday not only in IR Iran but also in Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Pakistan and India.

The AFC sees the occasion as a time to forge closer ties between its communities, Member Associations and other stakeholders as Asian football gears up and moves forward to ensure greater success.

The AFC would like to wish everyone celebrating the very best and may the festival and New Year bring happiness, peace and success to all.
