Tasnim - Esteghlal of Tehran football team will travel to Sweden on March 22 to play a friendly match with Hammarby.
The Iranian popular football club had announced last week that they would cancel the match but Hammarby threatened them to take legal action over the decision.
The match has been scheduled at Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena on March 25.
Esteghlal’s officials were going to postpone the match because several players have been called up for international duty.
Karl-Erik Nilsson, head of Swedish Football Association, had reportedly called his Iranian counterpart Ali Kaffashian and requested him to avoid the friendly cancellation.
