Queiroz

Tehrantimes - Iran football team head coach Carlos Queiroz believes that taking the maximum points from the two remaining games at the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying is very importation.

“We have to take the six points from the two remaining games because it will affect in the next round rankings. Team Melli’s last official game was in October and since then we didn’t have any training camp due to the presence of Iranian teams at the AFC Asian Champions League,” Queiroz said.

“First we need to be prepared mentally for the two games against India and Oman then we have enough time to build a new training ground and other facilities. World Cup is just around the corner and we have to play in the final round of qualifying in September,” Queiroz added.

Iran will first take on India on March 24th then they will host Oman five days later at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
