TEHRANTIMES - Iranian international winger Vahid Amiri, who has just three month left on his contract with Naft Tehran, stated that he has not received any offer from the Iranian clubs.
“I’m completely focused on Naft upcoming matches in Iran Professional League but there are always rumors about my next team. I have received no offers from the Iranian clubs so far,” Amiri told reporters.
“Unfortunately we have been eliminated from AFC Champions League and Hazfi Cup but we are doing our best in the league to repeat last year’s result. We have lost a couple of key players and the club is struggling financially but we have still the chance to finish in the top four,” Amiri added.
The 27-year old believes that accepting Carlos Queiroz resignation will be the worst mistakes ever made by Iran Football Federation.
“Queiroz is a big coach and parting the ways with him is the worst mistakes ever. We can qualify for the 2018 World Cup with Queiroz so there is no reason to let him go,” Amiri added.
