Tehrantimes - Zob Ahan football team was held to a 1-1 draw by Esteghlal Ahvaz at Ahvaz’s Takhti Stadium in the 20th week of Iran Professional League on Saturday.

Kaveh Rezaei put Zob Ahan in front in the 52nd minute thanks to a wonderful deep pass from Ghasem Hadadifar. Zob Ahan almost won the match but Taleb Rikani equalized the match in the dying moments of the match taking advantage of Zob Ahan defenders’ errors.

Zob Ahan remained in 4th place behind Persepolis while Esteghlal Ahvaz is still struggling at the bottom with just 9 points from 20 games.

Elsewhere, Gostaresh Foolad defeated Malavan 3-1 in Tabriz.

Mohammad Ebrahimi, Shahram Goudarzi and Leonardo Pimenta were on target for the host while Pejman Nouri scored the only goal for Malavan.

In Tehran, Rah Ahan and Siah Jamegan played out a goalless draw.

In the final game of the 20th week, Naft Tehran will host Esteghlal on Sunday.
