Ali Daei

Tehrantimes - Former Iran striker Ali Daei has been named among the 48 football legend players by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).


Daei is the world's all-time leading goalscorer in men's international matches.

He made 149 appearances for Team Melli and is ranked among the top 12 of world's most capped players.

Daei scored 109 goals for Iran.

IFFHS announced the Phase One of football legend players, in which Daei is in the list along with Brazilian legends Pele, Zico, Garrincha, and Germany’s Beckenbauer, Gerd Muller and Lothar Matthaus.

IFFHS is an organization that chronicles the history and records of association football.

It was founded in 1984 in Leipzig.
