Mahan Baghdadi

TEHRANTIMES - Iranian-Swedish player Mahan Baghdadi has been linked with a move to Tehran based club Esteghlal, according to Iranian media.


The 20-year-old striker, who has played for Iran U-19 team, is currently under contract with Swedish second division side AFC United. He participated in Esteghlal training session on Friday.

Baghdadi who has born in Tehran moved to Sweden with his family when he was just four.

At age of six he started playing football in Brommapojkarna, Stockholm (BP is known as one of the big youth clubs in Sweden and have developed famous Swedish players like Anders Limpar, John Guidetti and Bojan Djordic). Later he played in Lidingo, Taby, Vasalund and now AFC United.
